Dealing With Bed Bug Bites
August 6th, 2012 | Posted by in Bed Bug News | Bed Bugs | Dogs | Exterminators
Other than the complete disruption of your life, the cost of an exterminator, replacing some of your clothes or (at worst) your furniture, the potential to spread them anywhere and everywhere, and the lasting tension the whole experience gives you; the worst part of having bed bugs in your home is those pesky bites. As with all bug bites, the results are little itchy bumps. With bed bugs though they tend to come in triangular formations of threes. That said, those triangular forms can nearly disappear completely into a mass of bites in the most extreme cases.
Dealing with those bites can be nearly torture (especially for kids), but as is always the case with itchy rashes and the like, DO NOT SCRATCH! Scratching can lead to scarring and a lot of blood. The whole thing can get really messy. Get some calamine lotion and apply it regularly. Make sure to wash regularly but do not scrub too hard, excessive scrubbing is just excused scratching.
No matter what you do, identify those bed bug bites quickly and get them out of your home. You are going through a rough time with your bites and while misery loves company, your friends and family don’t want you bringing them down with you.
